The epoxy bushing surface discharge test evaluates whether discharge occurs on the surface of the epoxy resin bushing material. By applying a certain AC high voltage to the epoxy resin cast bushing material, the surface of the epoxy bushing manufacturer material is observed to see if any discharge occurs. The absence of discharge indicates that the surface insulation of the epoxy bushing for transformer material is good.
