In order to learn technology, in 1999, the Power Grid Operation Department and the Production Department of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry took the lead and commissioned the Electrical Research Institute to organize well-known domestic enterprises to form a joint research and development team to jointly develop domestic 40.5kV sealed outdoor pole-mounted switches. In October 1999, a special meeting was held in Dalian. The company was selected as the unit to manufacture this type of vacuum interrupter. In December of the same year, the TD24-405/1600-25 (formerly TD24-405/1250-16) type vacuum interrupter was approved. The company was responsible for Embedded Pole, but at that time it was limited by the design level, raw materials, injection molding technology (APG process) and other conditions, especially the epoxy resin directly contacted the vacuum interrupter porcelain shell, the seal cracked, and the partial discharge test failed. The seal technology has not been developed rapidly, resulting in the failure of domestic mass production capacity.
