The uniformity of the electric field significantly affects the insulation performance of the epoxy bushing. If an excessively strong electric field exists within the epoxy resin bushing, even if the epoxy resin cast bushing insulation material is sufficiently thick and insulated, and the epoxy bushing manufacturer passes both the withstand voltage test and the partial discharge test upon leaving the factory, the epoxy bushing for transformer may still experience frequent insulation breakdown failures after a period of operation.
